​ ​On December 27, 2024, Professional Learning Academy (PLA) was officially renamed Arakan College as a non-profit institution to address current educational challenges faced by students who have completed high school in Arakan. This transformation reflects our commitment to enhancing our educational curriculum, expanding academic opportunities, and fostering community development at a higher level. Established in 2021, Professional Learning Academy (PLA) was founded by Tun Lin, who is passionate about nurturing visionary and qualified youth by providing quality education and empowerment. As a community school, PLA has been dedicated to fostering community development in the education sector.

Within just two years, over 100 youth have benefited from its programs. Some are now working in various organizations, while others are pursuing further studies. PLA encompasses three main programs:

1. English for Academic and Professional Purposes

2. International University Preparation Program

3. Global Language Study Program and Youth Capacity Building Program
